Procrastination Sunday

Whenever I get to having to do something, I always procrastinate and during that time, I always end up here, on blogger writing a blog about how I'm procrastinating... How very predictable I am.

So, I had such good intentions about this blog after I successfully completed the 30 day picture blog challenge and even after, I continued blogging for a little amount of time and then what always happens, happened. Life got too much, I got too busy and the blog got tossed to the bottom of the pile. Since I last blogged, I shall give you an update on what I've been doing with my life!

1. I finished my second full term at the school and passed it which means I only have one more term to go!

2. I got a 'Good' on my formal observation with the head teacher and deputy head teacher- I was so nervous and so glad to have completed it.
3. My nephew, Jacob, has started crawling and climbing which now turns him into a little terror because he can go anywhere to get up to lots of mischief and he does!!
4. It was Easter and I got a ton of Easter eggs that I'm slowly eating my way through, which means I'm getting FAT!
5. I went to Chessington with my nephews and had a really great time. I love the holidays when I can spend quality time with my family and having two little boys around makes that even more fun because I get to experience life through their eyes and it truly is magical through their eyes.
6. I purchased, played and loved the new expansion pack from The Sims 4: Get to Work. I got to say that I am one of these people that love The Sims. I love the aspect of controlling and manipulating someone's life and to be able to go to work and control that aspect too, it's so much fun! I spend a couple of nights doing that this holiday. Probably a little too much time spent on that!
7. I managed to catch up with my two favourite shows at the moment- Grey's Anatomy and The Vampire Diaries. Whenever I'm at work, on a Thursday night, I don't have time to watch my shows and then it gets to Friday night and I'm too tired to stay awake so I never get to watch them. Being off of work is always prime-time catch up on my favourite shows!
8. I caught up with a lot of my friends that I don't always get to see during term time and I really enjoyed it!
Picture not from this occasion out!
9. On a not so fun note, I had tonsillitis again for like the third time this year. Being a teacher and using my voice the entire time really does put a strain on my throat and it always comes out when I am resting and on holiday. Typical!

And that's about it that was exciting. It's not April and almost half way through April which is absolutely mental. The only things that I have planned for the rest of this month is working and getting through my penultimate half term and nailing it so that I pass my NQT year. Before long it's going to be May- which means May Day Bank holiday, my graduation and half term. WOOO!

Until next time that I'm procrastinating, I love you all. Ta'raaaa!

Bad Luck

This is how I feel right now... I am so sick of life throwing curveballs at my family. It's like somehow nothing can go right and when it does, it starts going wrong again.

My family has been through enough in the past 5 years. We've struggled and lost so much but life just keeps delivering those punches and I honestly worry about how much more it can take.

Happiness is such a precious and fragile thing. Right now it seems that life is trying to break our happiness whilst we hold on to it with the very tips of our fingers.

It's not fair!!
But at the end of the day, I know that I have to put on my bravest teacher face, keep on smiling and pretend that nothing bad has ever happened to me in my life...

Bit of a sombre blog today at 10PM. I apologise.

Love to you all

Tip Tuesday

I thought I would be a little ironic on this Tuesday evening. I haven't done Motivational Monday in a while so here's a little quote to get your inspiration juices flowing!!

This picture and quote is so ironic to me because I spend my whole life planning and replanning. But actually you don't always need to. In my job, yes I do but my day to day life, I  hate planning. Mainly because I forget the plans so quickly but also because I spend my life structured enough, sometimes I do want to just see what happens or see where the day takes me.

If you're having a bad day, I think this is also perfect advice. Forget about the day not going to plan, breathe and just enjoy life.

Extreme Reading

As I said yesterday, my school is doing an extreme reading focus to try and get children to get excited about reading and to help the cause, they asked all the staff to get involved. This meant that this weekend I had to take a picture of myself doing some extreme reading.. Now, this picture is not quite extreme but my original plan of going on the roof of the extension on my house might have been extreme but I'm not sure it is a great way of being a role model for my children. This was the compromise...
Bearing in mind there were loads of kids in the park when I did this, I did feel pretty silly. I took multiple pictures of me on the swing and slide but this one looked the best.

The things I do for my children, eh!

Have a happy Monday!

Hello March/Birthday Party

It doesn't seem possible that it is already the third month of 2015. It feels like 2015 just started yesterday and we're already coming close to being a quarter of the way through the year... Absolutely mental.

Today is such a busy day for me  because although it is Sunday and the day of rest, I have been up and planning for ages. I have until 2 to be finished and ready for my nephew's first birthday party and I'm freaking out just a little. Next week is an important week for our school and I can't even begin to think about the long list of things I still need to do... Never mind.

Max's party today is from 2:30-5:30 (including tidying up) so I'm going to enjoy his party and then come back and worry about more planning and resourcing until well into the night I'm sure. What a life I lead!!
This actually speaks a lot of truth because although I spend all my Sunday planning, it does make my week easier when I've got everything prepared and ready to go- it doesn't make me feel like I'm out of control or stressed because I know I've spent my Sunday sorting everything out. If I didn't, it would make my evenings even harder than they already are during the week!

Today, I have to take a picture of myself doing some Extreme reading for school... I am yet to know what I quite want to do but if I take a funny one, I may share it with you tomorrow.
Here is an example but I can assure you, I will not be doing anything as amazing as this. I couldn't even get myself up an inch off the ground , let alone that much!
The things I do for my job, eh!

Anyway, it's the start of Spring and I'm looking forward to the lighter days, the warmer weather and just seeing the sun a lot more- there's  nothing better than waking up in the light and coming home when it is still light. I also have big plans now that the days are becoming longer which include finally booking some driving lessons. I'm hoping to book some for Easter and then book one hopefully every week, even if I do it on a Saturday!

Well, that is my big spiel on my life on this Sunday. What are you doing? Leave me a comment down below!

Day #30 of 30 Day Challenge

Day #30: A photo of you when you were happy.
After finishing this blog challenge, I have come to the conclusion that I should really take more photos because although I have a fair few photos, I don't have that many general ones. I only really have pictures from big occasions and that's mainly because other people take the photos. Anyway, to finish off this challenge, I wanted to pick a picture of me looking nice and happy and just end this blog challenge with a soppy message. I am most happy when I'm with my friends and family and thankfully I'm blessed in both departments. I have the best family a girl could ever ask for. I never feel alone because I know that I always have someone that I can talk to. And I also have the very best friends that I can always have a laugh with and even if I'm having the worst day, they always cheer me up.

I really am one of the luckiest people in the world because I'm so rich with what I have!
And that's a wrap. It's all over!

30 Day Photo Challenge: COMPLETE! 30 days, 30 photos and 30 great memories shared.

I love you all.

Happy Birthday Max

Can you believe that it is exactly a year today that my first little baby nephew was born? No? Me either. It really baffles me how that time has flown by because it really does feel like it was yesterday. I can't believe it. This little boy came at just the right time for my family. He has been one of the biggest beacons of light for us and he brings us complete joy every single day- from his cheeky smile to his adorable babbling. I just love him so much.
I hope you have the best birthday ever, little baby! I've just come home from spending a couple of hours with him and the look on his face when I walked through the door was priceless. He was so excited to show me his new toys and started pointing to all his toys and balloons saying 'yes'. It made me so happy and then he took steps towards me by himself and that topped it off.

I love him so much and I know that he's going to have such a good time at his party on Sunday. What a cutie!

Day #29 of 30 Day Challenge

Day #29: A photo of someone you find attractive.
This man is like a God to me. He is everything that I would like in a man and more. Chris Hemsworth is probably in most girls' dreams because he is an image of perfection. I can't stop looking at him from his sexy hair and stubble, to his piercing blue eyes. I love his films as well. It makes it ever better that he's Australian and has a hot accent.

I just want him... Anyone that is a Chris Hemsworth look-alike, please do let me know in the comments below!

He will be in my dreams tonight...

Day #28 of 30 Day Challenge

Day #28: A photo of what you ate today.
This is probably the most boring lunch you could ever have. I am yet to eat this but my lunch today is a bog standard cheese roll. Hopefully today I'll actually get to eat it unline yesterday!

I am not one of those food people that get excited about eating. For me, most days it's just something I have to do to keep me going with energy. I really could give or take eating food most days ha!

What are YOU eating today?
Leave me a comment about your lunch please. I wanna know. Must be more exciting than mine!!

IT'S ALMOST FRIDAYYYYY

Day #27 of 30 Day Challenge

Day #27: A photo of last summer.
The best thing about last summer, apart from me finishing uni and getting a job, was going on holiday with two of my best friends. I absolutely loved spending the time together that we did and I hope that sometime soon we can do it again! Even if it is just for a weekend away. I loved it!
