Lie In and Mortgage-Free

Today felt so good to be able to lie in and not have to do anything at all. I even spent two hours more in bed after I had woken up simply because I could. I did wake up at 9AM, which I was disappointed but at least it was a lot alter htant 7AM and I woke up naturally, which I find is always better than waking up to an alarm. I didn't have to be anywhere and considering I haven't been feeling 100% at the moment, the rest was welcomed and appreciated.

I woke up and was able to come down and sit around the house watching TV doing nothing in my PJs. I also had my Dad bring me in a fry up even though I didn't ask for it or didn't really want it BUT nevertheless, it did taste so yummy that I couldn't refuse. It felt like Christmas had come already. I knew that I should have been doing something productive but I had been sick of doing lesson plans and evaluations that I wanted to take the morning off and I thought I deserved it.
Then I went shopping with my Mum and Dad. I am pleased to say that my Mum and Dad now own their house and are mortgage-free. I'm so happy for them and know that it's a huge burden off their mind. They deserve it and I know they've always worked hard to pay for everything themselves despite having six children and so I hope they do something special for themselves. it's been a hard couple of years and they've been put through so much but they are still going strong. I'm hoping that this burden will only help matters get better and better.

Now, I'm sat around watching Harry Potter and writing a couple of evaluations from yesterday's lessons until Mum comes back with some eggs and then I SHALL BAKE.

I bought some food colouring paste yesterday to make some beautiful Christmas cakes and so depending on how they turn out, I shall have a lovely cake blog tomorrow- perhaps I'll tell you how I did it ;) A nice little cake recipe for you budding bakers out there. It's not a fancy recipe but it does make yummy cakes!
I hope you're having a brilliant, relaxing Saturday. What are you up to today? Let me know in the comments below. I'd love to know!

Ta'ra for now!
