Airdroid Review

This is something that I have been meaning to post about for a long long time since I discovered this easy to use, quite frankly amazing app. If you have a technological smart phone with the ability to download apps on Android, then this is potentially the app for you. Have you ever wanted to transfer things from your phone to your laptop and vice versa easily? Have you looked at all the possibilities and groaned with despair? Lost the wire? No bluetooth for your laptop? Then I have the solution.
Airdroid is an app that allows you to wirelessly connect your phone and laptop together using only your Internet connection. The only condition is that your phone and laptop are connected to the same wi-fi, but if you're at home or at a friend's house, this is easily done. So when you are connected, you log on and easily scan the QR code that connects the two and you are show with this page that gives you access to every part of your phone.
It is then as simple as clicking on one of the folders to view the files and clicking download on the pictures/videos/files that you want to save on your computer. Then voila, no more needing to find that lost wire or worrying about sending things in emails etc. It's quick, easy and the best part about it is that the app is free to download. The steps are as easy as connecting, and downloading. You can also upload things from your computer to your phone.
The favourite thing of mine at the moment is putting PDF files on my phone of stories that I want to read. It means that I can read on my phone easily at night- relating to my blog everyday, read everyday.

The only drawback to this is that you do have to be connected to the same wi-fi and this may not be the easiest on the go, seeing as I use mostly 3G outside of my house but then again, when do you whip out your laptop on the middle of the street to transfer some files? Chances are your laptop and phone will be connected to the same Internet source wherever you are, for example, work, a friend's house or even an cafe.

Airdroid is so flexible and allows you to do things that might've taken a lot longer the old fashioned way. You can also send messages from your phone from the computer, which isn't that much of a big deal but to me, that's pretty cool because I'm a little simple.
There has only been two versions of this amazing app, and so there is a lot more room for improvement as the app ages and develops. But as it stands, I think it's pretty perfect as it is. I love using it and I hope that if you've had trouble with transferring files easily that I may have solved your problems.

If you do try this app, let me know what your thoughts are on it and if you have any other app that you think is better than this, let me know also. I love to find apps that are good and useful to me.

Cheerio my lovies, enjoy the sunshine as usual. I'm getting my haircut today- I'm excited to finally get some shape and definition in this barnet...
