Motivational Monday #16

I'm going to start this Motivational Monday off today with a question for you all to think about before you read on... Has there been an element of your life/personality/likes etc. that you have purposely kept hidden from the people that you are closest to in fear that they'd negatively judge you for it?
We all have, before I get to the message I want to say to everyone, I want to stress how important it is to be true to yourself and to share your beauty with the world. Find who you are and run with it; don't change yourself to fit in with the image that everyone else wants you to fit. Be your own mould.
Most of us look at ourselves and only view the negative aspects of who we are. When we look inside at who we are, all we find is hate for ourselves and we have doubt about who we can be and what we can achieve. It's a natural feeling for us to be anxious about the future and to fear failure yet not always do something to change it. We have the power of our minds to change every single thought that we have. We don't have to have those negative, insulting voices in our head telling us our fears and putting us down. It takes a strong, powerful mind to change our way of thinking but we can.

The first step to changing our way of thinking about anything that is put in our way is to believe in who we are and what we know we can achieve. Most of us don't appreciate the greatness that we have stored inside us. We do not appreciate the gift of beauty (both physical and emotional beauty) and intelligence that we was born with and constantly add to. We think that others are better than us, and that we weren't as blessed as the next person but we were and are. If you change your way of thinking to believe in yourself, you will become a much stronger person in both physical sense and mental. In some ways, mental strength can be much more appealing to a person than physical strength. Mental strength isn't something you can go to gym for, it is created through experience and faith.
Obstacles are always placed in our way, always placed at the times that we need a clear road to run down. But with the mental strength of having faith and belief in everything you are, the obstacles shrink down a little where you can easily jump over them on your run turning it into a more difficult hurdle race. It's one of those things that does not come over night, nor over months. It takes years and years to build up a sense of self-belief and even then it can be broken down in seconds.

But if you keep working you way towards building that strong wall of self-belief to barricade out the insults, brick by brick, the wall will slowly form and the insecurities and obstacles that once plagued you will become yet a distance memory.

My wall is always getting knocked down but that doesn't mean you should stop building. Never stop building.

Never stop believing in yourself.
I can't believe it's already August, time is going by so quickly. Before we know it, it will be Christmas!

I love you all,
Nicole
